Northeast Greek Leadership Association Code of Conduct
Last Revised: June 2019

The future of our conference depends on the good will we develop with hotel properties throughout the Northeast. NGLA takes the conduct of its participants seriously. NGLA Annual Conference participants are expected to respect the property where the event is held and the rights of that property and others who may be using the space. Regardless of the age and local and state laws, no alcohol, marijuana, or other controlled substances will be permitted at NGLA events or on the property (contracted hotel, campus, conference space, etc.) where the event is being hosted. Student participants are prohibited from drinking, using marijuana, or taking other controlled substance at events or in affiliated hotel space during an NGLA event. Excessive noise will not be tolerated. All local, state, and federal laws of the event location apply to all participants.

Individuals violating hotel and conference policy will be asked to leave the conference with no refund of fees. Institutions with early check outs due to violations of the Code of Conduct will be assessed a fee, payable to NGLA, equal to the amount of lost revenue incurred by NGLA as a result of lost room nights. Appropriate college or university officials and inter/national fraternity or sorority staff members will be notified of the conduct of those violating these expectations.

The Northeast Greek Leadership Association Board of Directors reserves the right to ask a sponsor to leave the conference if conduct is deemed inappropriate. The decision shall be final.
